The gals here at Just a Craving are so sweet and they are also extremely fast! The restaurant was busy and we still got our shave ice within 5 to 6 minutes. The flavor options are great and you can even build your own. They have teas as well as shave ice. The crowd is always eclectic and fun and the atmosphere is good time for all. I recommend the Aloha Twist which is pineapple and coconut and the Latter Day coconut 🥥! The shave ice texture is authentic to Hawaii meaning it isn’t too icy or solid and it also doesn’t melt too fast. This is my best find this year so far and it's the most authentic to Hawaiian Shave Ice.

Came to this Shaved Ice place today to check it out, and it was amazing! I tried their newest gourmet specialty and it was FIRE! The girl was super nice, explained the menu and told me it was new, and if I loved strawberries and brownies, that was the one to pick. Not disappointed, will be back for sure! Can’t believe this place is locally owned!

Mind blown!…this is some of the best shaved ice I’ve had as an adult. The flavors are delicious, it doesn’t feel like you are having something too sweet but rather delicious and refreshing, the fruit toppings do not taste like old fruit but some spectacular confection that by itself would make it’s own dessert but complements this snack and takes it the extra mile to a whole other level of it’s own. Compliments to the Just a craving gang. You are doing things just right.

BEST SHAVED ICE EVERRRR! I will never eat shaved ice anywhere else, only Just-A-Craving! All of the flavors are super delicious, but my favorite is the passion fruit flavor😮💨 Best flavor ever!! I also love adding the mixed fruit jellies! I love that I can get my shaved ice craving all year round! They are short staffed, so expect some wait when it gets busy. BUT ITS WORTH THE WAIT, I will never mind it! :)
Our Story
We are a Utah local business. We started in Bountiful with a Food Truck, selling food cravings such as Philly Cheese Steaks, Soups, Tamales, and so much more. We started in the Fall, but when the Winter hit, we realized it was very hard to stay warm. So we started thinking about cravings for the Summer. We wanted something different, delicious, & refreshing. Presentation, flavor and quality has always been our main focus. As a result, My partner and I, thought about what we and our families enjoy the most in the summer, and that was Shaved ice. We transformed our food truck to a shaved ice shack, and created our shaved ice special cravings, we decided to move to Salt Lake, and after trial, error and a long, hard, meticulous process we made it happen. We were able to open our shack in our RosePark Community, right at Sutherlands Parking lot. We are always very excited and happy to serve our customers, and it makes us even happier when we get compliments on how delicious our shaved ice is and how they never tried anything like it before. “Calories don’t count when it’s Just-A-Craving”
